I wonder if he has many hitpoints and I wonder if Saddam Hussein has
more hitpoints...

One is a medium-level cleric/thief, the other is a high-level fighter. Of
course Saddam has a lot more HP.

One is a medium-level cleric/thief,
How do you figure the thief portion? Extensive use of the Sanctuary
spell and lots of Non-Detection spells is all I see that he requires.
Luckily he keeps crapping out on his attempts to invoke Divine
Intervention.

Sh'yeah, whatever. Then why did Saddam surrender to the low-level GIs
that found him in the spider hole? Obviously after months of hiding, he
should have been at full HP and perfectly capable of taking them on with
but a letter opener, were he really a high-level fighter. (With
multiple attacks and Cleave, he should have been able to slaughter them
before more than one or two could get an attack off.)

Unless God is running the world according to Harnmaster or some system
where you don't get more hit points as you increase 'level' or
something...

Depending upon point of view, he might also be a Paladin (lawful evil or
lawful neutral, maybe, but still that same role). And I wouldn't rule
out some fighter levels. He was in Afghanistan for the resistance
fighting against the Soviets, IIRC.

Maybe even some desert oriented Ranger levels.

(actually, Lawful-Evil Ranger/Paladin might be an interesting
combination)
