I wonder what they meant by boring?

The gaming field has come a very long way.

Now the vast majority of the under 25 crowd knows what role-playing is
and has probably participated.

Quite a change from the late 70s.

To be honest, after seeing the article I don't think it mattered that
much; the reporter seemed to get it pretty well anyway. I think of
the sessions with combat as more exciting, but they may primarily be
more exciting for the players rather than for spectators. I think the
reporter did a good job of looking beyond the specific session and
understanding the game as a whole.

Thanks for posting the article Warren. Glad to see other ageing gamers are
pressing on, and that the media still find it hard to take seriously ;-)
